| As Governor I will prepare a budget for the General Assembly on time. It is the Governor's constitutional duty to present a balanced budget. The next priority for me will be to reduce or eliminate as many taxes as possible, including corporate, cigarette, alcohol and motor fuel taxes. Each reduction in tax will stimulate the economy and bring back jobs and commerce. My next priority is to pass some sort of firearms carry act, such as a Concealed Carry Act, which never seems to get out of committee. I will try to eliminate the FOID card. |
